A series of conversions between Indigenous folx from various Nations beginning on Sunday, March 20th, 2022 with an introductory Convo with our three facilitators

Anti-Indigenous Racism, past & present 

Unlearning Conversations will address recent anti-Indigenous behaviour on the Cal State San Marcos campus, Mormon theologies regarding Indigenous Peoples, the Mission systems, and Residential Schools 

Indigenous Activism  

The LGBTQIA history of the Rio Grande Valley, Water Protectors & Treaty People, and Reparations are among the issues that will be highlighted

Indigenous Culture in the 21st Century   

Guests to our Unlearning Conversations will share their work in the fine arts, music, fashion, & language reclamation

Native American Heritage Month & Honouring Indigenous Peoples,
Not Colonizers

We'll discuss Decolonizing and Native American Heritage Month

Indigenous Spirituality  

Conversations will focus on Indigenous Creation stories & how our spiritual practices connect us to all of creation

Indigenous Histories & Futures

Unlearn parts of "American" history and consider how a return to traditional practices may be the way to a future for humanity
